China's energy

For hundreds of millions of Chinese who live in rural areas often use traditional forms of biomass such as wood, crop residues continue to be the main source of energy. Other renewable energy technologies that are starting to become more widely used include solar water heating, biomass power generation, biomass pellet production, and geothermal and ocean energy.

China appears to have a control on renewable energy. They have moved up the path of developing renewable energy, about 17 percent of China's electricity has come from hydroelectric generators, there are 197 total generators. The only challenge that China might be facing would be the cost of making all of these generators, but since they dont seem to behaving any problems its safe to assume they have a strong economy.
